Pine Island Camp offers a truly different summer experience. Since 1902, weve nurtured independence, compassion, honesty, generosity, humor, and joy in boys ages 9 to 15. Unlike camps modeled after schools or sports teams, Pine Island fosters autonomy within a small, close-knit community. Life here is simple, unplugged, and rooted in naturea place where boys thrive. Our program balances hands-on instruction with free time, letting campers shape their days. They choose their activities, wilderness trips, and downtime pursuits, discovering their passions along the way. Evenings around the campfire bring everyone together for skits, music, games, and storytelling. Every boy is encouraged to share his talents and join in the fun. Pine Island welcomes boys of all personalities, strengths, and family backgrounds. Whether shy or outgoing, every camper finds a place where he feels valued and supported. Under the guidance of our dedicated staff, boys embrace the challenges of outdoor living, grow in confidence, and forge lasting friendships. Set on a wooded island in a pristine central Maine lake, Pine Island offers an adventurous, happy, and safe summer experience. Discover a camp where every boy finds a role, builds character, and creates memories to last a lifetime.
