The 2022 HWI summer Scholars program will be ONLINE and can accommodate up to 60 students. The program will run from 9 AM until 3 PM from Tuesday, July 6 to Thursday, July 29 and access for students to Zoom accounts will be provided. The Summer Workshop will be hybrid half in person / half virtual. Proof of vaccination is mandatory and masking is required when inside the building. The registration fee for students will be $100, with scholarships available. New students must submit application forms. The program will have three targets: Name Game, Ribosomal Protein and Tuberculosis protein. Returning students will continue with their study of the evolution of a ribosomal protein and new students will begin with the name game in which they find their name in the gene bank. There will be short lectures and team presentations of results on each topics, individual presentations, and a final presentation with personal observations.
