Are you planning on attending college in the Boston area? Need to learn your campus, Boston transportation and local resources. Attend a one-week COLLEGE BOOTCAMP at the Carroll Center. Students will receive O&M at their college along with daily living skills support, learning local apps, socialization with other college students and exposure to Boston transportation.

The Carroll Kids day program offers programming for targeted learning in orientation and mobility skills, daily living activities, social skills, technology, and recreational activities. This fun and individualized program supports the development of students self-determination, self-advocacy and provides the opportunity to build meaningful friendships among true peers.

The Carroll Teens overnight program offers students an opportunity to develop their independence and self-confidence, demonstrating self-advocacy and skill development. Students will apply skills in orientation and mobility, activities of daily living, and use of accessible technologies. Students will prepare meals, practice daily living skills, and socialize with peers as they develop their independence.

Our popular six-week residential summer program provides teens, ages 15 to 20, an opportunity to develop life skills for success in high school, college and work. Learn to travel in urban areas, do your laundry, cook your favorite foods, improve your technology skills, work independently, be a leader and self-advocate. Enjoy recreational activities around Boston to build confidence, apply independent skills, and socialize.

Whether you are a high school junior or senior planning to go to college or a current college student seeking to advance your skills, this 4-week program will provide advanced computer instruction. Students will be provided with training in Windows 10, file management, Microsoft Office 365 applications, email, web browsing, scanning documents, and accessing e-books.
