Express Yourself Camp is designed for kids ages 5 14 who have experienced a loss or change, such as the death of a loved one, a divorce in the family, moving or losing a home, loss of friendships, the death of a pet, or a serious illness. The camp is also geared to help children who experienced or have been affected by a tragedy, such as the events that unfolded following the Chiefs victory parade earlier this year. The camp provides a safe environment for youth to learn different ways to express their feelings of loss through age-appropriate activities including music therapy, adventure programming, arts and crafts, skits, and a closing ceremony. Lunch and snacks are provided.
