The Police Athletic League of Buffalo, Inc. (PAL) is a not-for-profit organization that provides youth of the City of Buffalo with recreational, educational, cultural, environmental and preventive program activities in structured, supervised and organized settings, using professional recreation and law enforcement personnel, in an effort to provide leadership, direction and an opportunity for those youth to become responsible, successful adults.

As part of the academic activities, sites implement evidence-based literacy and math curriculum. Additionally, students participate in Mayor Scanlons Reading Rules! Kids Summer Reading Challenge. This entails students reading five books at their level and writing five summaries on these books. Summer Camp sites also offer breakfast and lunch each day, which is done in collaboration with BPS Food Service. Additionally, the 7-hour sites provide afternoon snack.
