Immerse yourself in the wizarding world of Harry Potter by crafting and building iconic locations like Hogwarts Castle or Diagon Alley within Minecraft. Harness the power of Redstone to create magical effects, from floating candles to moving staircases. And with a custom magic plugin, design and play thrilling Harry Potter-themed mini-games. We will be using the PC/Java edition of Minecraft. Students should have basic reading skills and be comfortable using a computer. Bring a USB drive to save your games on the last day.

This program offers lower ratios and programming geared toward children ages 3 through entering 1st grade, with tailored activities and daily schedules for each age group. Children must be age 3 by 9/1/2024 in order to attend Summer 2025 programming.

This program provides a variety of supervised activities and experiences aimed at promoting social, physical, and intellectual development in a fun and engaging environment for students going into 1st - 5th grade.

This program is designed to meet the needs of entering 5th - 8th grade students as they grow into responsible teens. At times, young people will be outside of the direct supervision of adults with clear expectations about appropriate boundaries and rules. Different age groups will have different boundaries in terms of supervision.

A chance to get outside, be active, and burn off extra energy after long days at school. After School Adventure Club is a 6-week series of outdoor adventures. Activities may include Disc Golf, Fishing, Geocaching, paddling, and more! Each week a different adventure will be chosen a few days in advance. We all know that Spring weather in Minnesota can be unpredictable and that just adds to the fun! All equipment provided.

Calling all archers! This archery class is an opportunity for students of all ability levels to try something new! Proper techniques for stance, aim and release are taught by trained instructors who utilize experiential learning and creative games to ensure that all archers grow in their abilities-and have fun! Students can go straight to this program after school from Chaska Middle School East or West. All equipment provided.

Get outdoors this spring and have some fun together! This program includes an archery lesson for both dads and daughters with all the equipment provided and no experience needed. after archery, explore the woods of Lake Minnewashta during a Geocaching Treasures Hunt! Please register each participant individually. Adult and child must both sign up separately. All equipment is provided.

Mom and Child get to fish together with an experienced Carver County Parks Educator guiding the fun. Learn to bait a hook, drop a line, and even touch a fish! A beginner archery lesson will round out the night of fun. Explore how to shoot a compound bow and have fun challenging each other to hit the target. All equipment will be provided. Please register each participant separately. Adult and child must both sign up separately.

If your child misses being outdoors in the winter, this camp is their outdoor escape! Participants will enjoy one full day of great winter recreation activities like snowshoeing, kick sledding, shelter building, geocaching & group games in this unique winter day camp. Instructors with the Carver County Parks Department will teach outdoor activities covering how-to safety and equipment terminology. Specific activities are dependent on the weather. This program is offered in partnership with Carver County Parks. All equipment is provided.
