DPR Boost Camps were launched in the summer of 2021 as part of the citywide effort to accelerate learning in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Boost Camp concept was developed from the foundation previously laid by DPR Enrichment Camps, which provided at-risk youth with the summer camp experience in a safe and positive environment with recreational activities and programs to discourage negative social behaviors. Boost Camps offer a combination of high-quality enrichment and recreation in addition to an academic component to accelerate learning.
