Our newest week-long summer camp lets kids step onto the ferryand into the wild! Daily activities include seining & crabbing, hiking maritime forest trails on Bulls Island, birds of prey flight demonstration, kayaking, Sewee Center meet native reptiles, fishing, hiking and more, swimming and shell seeking, environmental stewardship, native plants, and birding.

All summer long, were offering a mini-camp experience at our Shem Creek campus! Sign ups are by the day, giving you flexibility to add this camp when you need it most. Each day is different, and activities include boat ecotours to go fossil hunting, scavenger hunts, crabbing and dip netting, swimming and more!

Sign ups are by the day and every day offers different nature adventures. With a base camp at our Shem Creek campus, Coastal Expeditions educators check the tides and weather each day to decide what the main activity will be. An assortment of boat tours, fossil hunts on barrier islands, shelter building, birding, swimming, paddle boarding, nature crafts and more fill up each day!

With a base camp at our Shem Creek campus, Coastal Expeditions educators check the tides and weather each day to decide what the main activity will be. An assortment of boat tours, fossil hunts on barrier islands, shelter building, birding, swimming, paddle boarding, nature crafts and more fill up each day!

This 9-week program teaches kids everything they need to know to be skilled outdoor explorers in the Lowcountry! This program will introduce a variety of outdoor education and survival skills that will come in handy as they grow older and explore natural areas in the Lowcountry on their own.

This program is designed to ignite enthusiasm and curiosity for the lifelong sport of coastal angling while teaching water safety and ecology. Kids will get to experience a variety of fishing techniques, including bait spotting and casting nets to catch bait like menhaden, shrimp and mullet. Well use that bait to fish for trout, redfish and flounder in Charleston Harbor!

The adventure begins as soon as we step onto the ferry! After a 30-minute ecotour through Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge, kids will walk through Bulls Island to the beach, learning about native and edible plants, exploring different habitats, and looking for birds, fox squirrels, deer and other wildlife!
