C2 Pipeline - Wayne State University

Learn how to think like a lawyer with Wayne State University Law School! In our mock trial camp, students will have the opportunity to explore legal careers while learning about our justice system. Students will be divided into teams and will work together to analyze an age-appropriate criminal case. The camp will conclude with our future lawyers and legal professionals competing in a mini mock trial tournament.

Forigins possible C2 programming will consist of daily interactive presentations, educational games, guest speakers, and field trips to local businesses. Day 1 will be focused on ice breaking and financial literacy, day 2 will focus on financial literacy and entrepreneurship (briefly), Day 3 will focus on ownership and guest speakers, and day 4 will focus on program summary and student presentations. At the end of the program students will have a in depth understanding of why financial literacy is the starting block to being a successful business owner and/or asset accumulator.

Brains 101 is a 4-day summer camp for high schoolers. In collaboration with C2-Pipeline, members of the Nu Rho Psi organization at Wayne State University put together an assortment of neuroscience and campus-related activities for students to complete over the week. Activities include a sheep brain dissection, faculty presentations, a week-long research project, and a campus tour! It is a great opportunity for students to learn more about neuroscience and how it relates to the world around us.

Put your Minecraft ingenuity into action with this video game-inspired camp. Participants will create their own Minecraft levels and learn JAVA programming to take part in exciting Minecraft design challenges, all while playing video games!

The summer program will introduce students to the research and education program focused on removing boundaries between engineering and the medical fields. Students will be introduced to the field of biomedical engineering, innovative engineering solutions, solve problems in biology, physiology, and medicine.

Students will develop an understanding of design thinking principles, entrepreneurship, and the power of innovation to change their world. It will take students through an immersive, active innovative experience that blends design thinking, creativity, social impact, leadership, and entrepreneurship by exploring a challenge that matters to them, developing a prototype solution, completing a business model canvas, preparing and delivering a pitch-like presentation at the end of the class.

The camp will conclude with our young executives pitching their ideas to a panel of judges.

This course is jam-packed with content and will take a beginner in cybersecurity & ethical hacking from baseline to being able to hack wireless routers, crack passwords, and understand the reasoning behind those processes. Students will explore their interest in computer science and cybersecurity through topics in High Tech Crime, Cryptography & Steganography, Mobile Forensics, Catching Phish, and more.

A hands on experience of the role and responsibilities of a registered nurse. The experiences will encompass comprehensive skills (physical assessment, health promotion, care planning, team building, and development of a comprehensive patient case study and interactive care simulations, including virtual immersive).

Participants will learn about the field of dentistry through hands-on activities using the Detroit Mercy Dental simulation lab. They will have the opportunity to engage in many activities including taking impressions, drilling a cavity in a mock tooth, learning about better food choices and much more.

Engage in activities involved in forensic sciencesuch as drug toxicology, ballistics and blood spatter while solving a crime scene mystery!

Students will learn how to develop a machine-learning application using the highly popular programming language, called Python.

Students will learn how to describe Digital Logic networks using a Hardware Description Language, called Verilog.
