Brown Summer High School (BSHS) is a morning enrichment program where motivated local students explore subjects theyre passionate about. Courses in English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies challenge students to think critically and engage in hands-on, experiential learning. Each summer, 150-200 students come together on Browns campus for engaging classes taught by teams of Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) candidates, guided by experienced mentor teachers. Students learn alongside peers from Providence, Central Falls, and surrounding Rhode Island communities. Enrollment is first come, first served until spots are full or until the first day of class. BSHS courses emphasize equity and justice, making learning meaningful and relevant to students' lives. Hands-on projects, discussions, and collaborative activities help students develop essential skills for college and beyond.
