Avalon Nature Preserve has permanently protected 216 vital acres of Long Islands north shore, 140 of which are open for the public to explore and enjoy. Avalons meadows, woodlands and shoreline serve as essential habitats to protect our local watershed, flora and fauna. The preserve aims to remind visitors of our cultural connections to this landscape.
