Summer Camps in New Bedford, Massachusetts

New Bedford's summer camp scene perfectly captures the spirit of this historic coastal city, with an incredible variety of maritime and arts-focused programs that you won't find anywhere else. Kids can dive into hands-on marine science through the Buzzards Bay Coalition's popular Bay Explorers program, where they'll investigate tide pools and learn about ocean ecosystems right at the water's edge. The New Bedford Art Museum offers creative camps that blend the city's rich artistic heritage with contemporary expression, while the Community Boating Center gets kids out on the water with sailing programs that build confidence and nautical skills.

With most camps priced between $200-400 per session and over 40 different providers to choose from, there's something here for every young explorer – whether they're passionate about marine biology, traditional arts, or mastering the basics of seamanship.
